Responsible Gaming
at fa66
fa66 is committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent betting environment for all players across Bangladesh. Our responsible gaming tools help you stay in control — every session, every day.
Our Commitment to Safe Play
fa66 believes that gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — nothing more. From Dhaka and Chittagong to Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, and beyond, we serve players right across Bangladesh, and we take the wellbeing of every single one of those players seriously. Our responsible gaming framework is not a legal afterthought; it is a foundational pillar of how fa66 operates.
We have built a suite of practical tools directly into the fa66 platform that allow players to set limits, take breaks, and exclude themselves from the platform entirely if they feel their gambling is getting out of hand. These tools are accessible at any time through your account settings, and our support team at [email protected] is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist any player who needs guidance.
fa66 also trains its customer support and compliance staff to recognise behavioural indicators that may suggest a player is experiencing difficulties. When such patterns are identified, our team is authorised to reach out proactively — and, where necessary, to restrict or suspend an account to protect the player's interests, even if no formal request has been submitted.
Our position: fa66 will always prioritise player safety over short-term revenue. A player who gambles within their means, enjoys the experience, and returns tomorrow is far more valuable to us than a player who bets beyond their limits today.
Age Restriction — 18+ Only
fa66 enforces a strict minimum age of 18 years for all account holders. During the registration process, all players are required to confirm that they are 18 or older. As part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, we may request official identity documents — such as a National ID card or passport — to confirm a player's date of birth before deposits or withdrawals are processed.
We are aware that minors can sometimes access online platforms without detection. For this reason, fa66 recommends the following steps for parents and guardians in Bangladesh:
- Keep your fa66 login credentials strictly private. Never share your username or password with family members, including children.
- Use device-level parental controls or filtering software to prevent minors from accessing gambling websites on shared computers, tablets, or smartphones.
- If you discover that a minor in your household has accessed or registered on fa66, contact our support team immediately. We will act quickly to close the account and return any funds deposited.
- Discuss responsible digital behaviour with young people in your home, including the risks associated with gambling websites.
Strict enforcement: fa66 operates a zero-tolerance policy on underage gambling. Accounts confirmed to be held by minors will be permanently closed with no exceptions. Players who provide false age information during registration may have all winnings forfeited.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Gambling becomes a problem when it stops being fun and starts interfering with your daily life — your finances, your relationships, your work, or your mental and physical health. Problem gambling affects people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Recognising it early is the most important step toward getting it under control.
Problem gambling does not always look the same. Some people gamble large amounts infrequently; others gamble small amounts constantly. What matters is not the size of the bet or the frequency of play — it is the impact that gambling is having on your life and the lives of those around you. The following warning signs are widely recognised by mental health and addiction professionals as indicators of problematic gambling behaviour.
Warning Signs to Watch For
- Chasing losses: Betting more in an attempt to recover money you have already lost, rather than accepting the loss and stopping.
- Gambling beyond your means: Spending money on gambling that was set aside for essential expenses such as rent, food, utilities, or school fees.
- Inability to stop: Feeling unable to walk away from a session even when you have decided to stop, or consistently exceeding the time and money limits you set for yourself.
- Preoccupation with gambling: Spending a significant amount of your mental energy thinking about past gambling sessions, planning the next session, or working out how to obtain money to gamble with.
- Hiding gambling activity: Concealing the amount of time or money you spend gambling from family members, friends, or colleagues.
- Borrowing to gamble: Taking out loans, using credit, or borrowing money from friends or family specifically to fund gambling activity.
- Gambling as an escape: Using gambling as a way to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or other emotional difficulties rather than addressing those feelings directly.
- Neglecting responsibilities: Missing work, study, family, or social commitments because of gambling activity or its aftereffects.
Experiencing one or more of these signs does not automatically mean you have a gambling disorder, but it does mean you should take a step back and honestly assess your relationship with gambling. fa66's self-assessment tool below can help you do that.
Self-Assessment Checklist
Take a moment to answer the following questions honestly. These questions are based on widely used problem gambling screening tools. If you answer "yes" to two or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to use fa66's player protection tools and/or to seek support from a qualified professional.
If you answered yes to two or more questions: Please consider activating one of fa66's self-protection tools described in the sections below, or contact our support team at [email protected]. You do not need to be in crisis to ask for help — reaching out early makes a meaningful difference.
Player Protection Tools
fa66 provides a comprehensive set of player-controlled tools designed to help you manage your gambling activity. These tools are available directly within your fa66 account settings and take effect promptly once activated. You do not need to contact support to use most of these features — they are self-service by design, so that help is always immediately accessible.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum amount you are permitted to deposit into your fa66 account over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Limits can be reduced immediately but increases require a 7-day cooling-off period.
Loss Limits
Define the maximum net loss you are comfortable with over a set time frame. When your net losses reach the threshold you have set, fa66 will prevent further wagering for the remainder of that period — protecting you from chasing losses in the heat of the moment.
Wagering Limits
Set a cap on the total amount you can wager (stake) within a given period, regardless of wins or losses. This is particularly useful for players who want to control the volume of activity rather than just the net financial outcome of their sessions.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum duration for each gaming session. When your session reaches the time limit you have configured, fa66 will display a notification and prompt you to end the session. This feature helps prevent the loss of track of time that can occur during extended play.
Time-Out (Short Break)
Take a short break from fa66 for a period of your choosing — 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a time-out, you cannot log into your account, place bets, or make deposits. Pending withdrawals will still be processed. Time-outs cannot be shortened once activated.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel you need a longer or permanent break, fa66's self-exclusion tool allows you to close your account for a minimum of 6 months or permanently. During self-exclusion, your account cannot be reopened at your request — a mandatory reflection period is enforced before reinstatement can be considered.
Deposit & Spending Limits
Setting a deposit limit is one of the simplest and most effective steps you can take to keep your gambling within a budget you are comfortable with. fa66 allows you to set deposit limits in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. These limits apply to all deposit methods, including bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, and bank transfers.
How to Set a Deposit Limit
Log into your fa66 account and navigate to the "Responsible Gaming" section of your account settings. Select "Deposit Limits", choose your preferred period (daily, weekly, or monthly), and enter the maximum amount in BDT that you wish to deposit within that period. Confirm your selection and the limit will take effect immediately.
Changing or Removing a Limit
You may reduce your deposit limit at any time and the reduction will take effect immediately. However, to protect players from impulsive decisions made under pressure, any request to increase or remove a deposit limit is subject to a mandatory 7-day waiting period. During that waiting period, your existing (lower) limit remains in force. This cooling-off period is by design — it gives you the time to reflect on whether a higher limit genuinely serves your best interests.
fa66 recommends starting with a deposit limit that represents a genuine discretionary entertainment budget — an amount you would be completely comfortable losing without any impact on your essential living expenses. A commonly used guideline is to treat gambling in the same way you would any other discretionary entertainment expense, such as cinema tickets or a restaurant meal.
Reality Check Notifications
fa66 can send you periodic on-screen notifications during your gaming sessions reminding you how long you have been playing and how much you have deposited or wagered in the current period. These reality check prompts are configurable in your account settings. We recommend setting them at intervals that feel natural — for example, every 30 or 60 minutes — to maintain awareness during longer sessions.
Self-Exclusion & Time-Out
If you feel that your gambling is no longer under control, or if you simply want to take a meaningful break from the platform, fa66's time-out and self-exclusion features provide an immediate and enforceable way to do so. These are among the most important tools we offer, and we want you to understand exactly how they work.
Time-Out (Short-Term Break)
A time-out is designed for players who want a temporary pause. Available durations are 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During the time-out period, your fa66 account will be suspended — you will not be able to log in, place bets, or make deposits. Any withdrawal requests already pending when the time-out is activated will continue to be processed normally. Once the time-out period expires, your account will automatically reactivate. You cannot end a time-out early, so choose the duration that reflects how long you genuinely need to step away.
Self-Exclusion (Long-Term or Permanent)
Self-exclusion is the most serious player-protection measure available on fa66. You can self-exclude for a period of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, or permanently. To activate self-exclusion, go to the "Responsible Gaming" section of your account settings and select "Self-Exclusion", or contact our support team directly at [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request". Our team will action your request promptly — typically within a few hours of receipt.
During the self-exclusion period, your account will be permanently closed for gambling activity. fa66 will also make reasonable efforts to prevent marketing communications from reaching you during the exclusion period. At the end of a time-limited self-exclusion, the account will not be automatically reactivated — you must contact support and undergo a brief review process, including a mandatory reflection period, before access is restored. Permanent self-exclusion is irrevocable.
Important: Self-exclusion is a serious commitment. fa66 strongly advises players who activate self-exclusion to also remove fa66 from their browser bookmarks, delete any saved passwords, and consider using device-level website blocking software to reinforce the break. If you are self-excluding due to a gambling problem, please also reach out to a professional support service — see the Support & Resources section below.
Account Closure
If you wish to close your fa66 account permanently for any reason — not necessarily related to responsible gaming — you may do so at any time by contacting [email protected]. Account closure requests are processed within 24 hours. Any withdrawable balance in your account at the time of closure will be returned to your registered payment method (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or bank account) within the standard withdrawal processing window.
Support & Resources
fa66's own support team is always the first port of call for players who have questions about responsible gaming tools, want to activate a limit or exclusion, or simply want to talk through their concerns. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our team responds in both English and Bengali.
However, we also recognise that some players may benefit from speaking with independent professional support services that specialise in gambling-related issues. While Bangladesh has a developing ecosystem for gambling support, the following avenues are available to players who feel they need help beyond what fa66 can provide directly.
Seeking Professional Help
- Talk to your doctor: A general practitioner or family physician is often the best starting point. They can refer you to appropriate mental health professionals who have experience with addiction and compulsive behaviour.
- Dhaka mental health services: The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in Dhaka provides psychiatric and psychological services to the public. If gambling is affecting your mental health, NIMH's outpatient services are worth exploring.
- Talk to a trusted person: Telling a trusted family member or close friend about your concerns can provide immediate relief and practical support. You do not need to face this alone.
- International online resources: Organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous (www.gamblersanonymous.org) offer peer-support group programmes and online resources that are accessible internationally, including from Bangladesh.
- Financial counselling: If gambling has created significant financial difficulties, a financial counsellor or advisor can help you create a recovery plan, manage debt, and rebuild financial stability.
